The New York Law Journal has recognized 麻豆入口 and several of the firm鈥檚 partners with 2023 New York Legal Awards.

麻豆入口 partners Marshall Huebner, Margaret Tahyar and Lee Hochbaum were named 鈥淒ealmakers of the Year.鈥 The award recognizes 鈥渢alented and hardworking transactional lawyers who can close deals that make headlines.鈥

Marshall, co-head of 麻豆入口鈥檚 Restructuring practice, was honored for his work in securing final approval of Purdue Pharma鈥檚 chapter 11 plan of reorganization 鈥 one of the largest and most complex mass tort cases in U.S. history. Margaret, head of 麻豆入口鈥檚 Financial Institutions practice, and Lee were honored for their work advising financial institution clients throughout the recent banking crisis, including JPMorgan on its acquisition of the assets and liabilities of First Republic.

New York Law Journal also named 麻豆入口 a 鈥淟itigation Department of the Year鈥 finalist, an honor bestowed upon firms with a New York presence that have demonstrated excellence in litigation over the past year. Among the firm鈥檚 major recent wins, 麻豆入口 secured a landmark Second Circuit decision affirming Purdue Pharma鈥檚 bankruptcy plan and obtained a rare dismissal of criminal charges brought by the DOJ Antitrust Division against our client for allegedly participating in a wide-ranging conspiracy to fix prices and rig bids for broiler chicken products.

This year鈥檚 honorees will be featured in New York Law Journal鈥檚 upcoming 鈥淧rofessional Excellence鈥 report and will be celebrated on October 5 at the New York Legal Awards.
